Our Roastery
Our coffee is roasted on Koh Phangan, inside our Haad Yao café — not hidden behind warehouse doors, but part of what we do every day.
Part of the café, not hidden from it
Most people come in for breakfast or a flat white without realising the coffee they're drinking was roasted just a few metres away. That's exactly how we like it.
The roastery isn't tucked away on an industrial estate — it's part of the café, and part of what we do every day.
Complete control, from green bean to cup
We didn't build a roastery because we wanted another business. We built one because we wanted complete control over the coffee we serve.
We buy green coffee directly from producers we know, develop our own roast profiles, and roast everything ourselves — every coffee served at Bubba's has passed through our own hands.
Every coffee, roasted on its own terms
Some coffees make great espresso. Others are better suited to filter brewing. Every coffee is different, so every roast is developed individually.
Keeping roasting in-house also means our baristas and roasters work together every day — if something needs adjusting, we walk across the room and talk about it.
Meet the people who grow it
Coffee has always been at the centre of Bubba's, but it's never been the whole story. If you'd like to learn where these coffees begin, the next step is meeting the farmers who grow them.
