Coffee roaster, barista, judge, and cocktail master, Liz Shen. A third-generation Chinese-Thai coffee producer, Liz has become a key figure in the Thai coffee world. She’s also pushing its reach into new places like China, Taiwan, and Malaysia. There’s heritage in her story, but also serious drive and energy in everything she does.

We first met Liz at a public cupping at her roastery in Bangkok. She spoke with real passion about her family’s farm, and it stuck with us. Since that day, she’s become both a trusted partner and a good friend. Her depth of knowledge, shaped by her family roots and her own projects, has helped us understand Thai specialty coffee in a way we couldn’t have done alone.

Liz grew up in coffee, but she’s taken it further. She experiments with processing, refines roast profiles, and spends time mentoring young talent coming up in the Thai scene.

Working with Liz brought more than just quality coffee. It gave us access to a network of people doing good work. It opened up new collaborations and gave us a deeper connection to the growers and roasters behind the scenes.
